FIDO Quadruped Robot
Internal R&D Project
FIDO is a versatile quadruped robotics platform designed for learning and experimentation. Built around dual processors (ESP32-S3 for user interface and STM32F401 for kinematics), FIDO handles the complexity of balance, movement, and sensor integration while providing accessible expansion points for add-on projects. A standardized modular connector supplies power and communication (SPI, I2C, GPIO) to custom modules, while top-mounted rails accept mechanical attachments—from robotic arms to sensor packages. The platform supports multiple control methods (RC transmitter, Bluetooth, autonomous navigation via onboard camera) and includes USB console access for firmware development. With complete source files, documentation, and manufacturing-ready designs, FIDO serves as both a functional robot and a teaching platform for embedded systems, kinematics, and mechatronics integration.
